Myself and with the assistance of Wilheim have located the deleted thread and it was indeed deleted by myself....this was a mistake on my part, apparently I was working on another thread at the same time as looking at my tracked plays and did indeed delete the thread...

When it was first brought to my attention yesterday morning , I thought the plays were indeed posted in a thread posted by poster 'shale' in the Baseball Forum ,who had posted 'Umpire Stats' on saturday as these plays were based on those statistics...

I responded immediately and asked for Moderator and Record Tracker Moderator Rob Funk to add my lost saturday plays to my record tracker...

It is well known by all Mods that anything deleted can very easily be researched and tracked to who edited or deleted a given post...

I was never denying making the posted plays, as I lost and even mentioned it in two other threads later saturday...

I take full responsibilty for the error, I have no intention of selling picks, I don't care where I finish in the baseball tracker standings, and was not trying to gain any sort of advantage from this error, there was nothing to gain.

I am well aware that my baseball tracker thread is viewed daily by friends as well as posters and deleting an ENTIRE POST would be extremly foolish on purpose....

I have 40,000 posts here at The Rx, not all perfect, but I have always tried to do what is best...at times we get Im's about Rx business, a poster may need help with a password, or a poster may just want to talk as many do just as friends, the point is I have made mistakes, whether it be grading a contest, or accidently deleting a thread, or moving a thread to the wrong place, the point is, it is very easy to make errors while moderating, not to mention having an eye on the scoreboard watching 5 games at once ...

I made an honest mistake, logic should factor into this at some point, I mentioned in two other threads what my card was and even mentioned losing and going 1-6 on the day...please accept my apology.

No apology necessary in my view. Good idea to clarify what happened though.

I never said anyone was unprofessional on this forum in that thread....I would like to think logic would factor in though at some point...I have friends that read my baseball thread, I am well aware that anything deleted by anyone is very easily traced...I accept that this did happen , I never denied the plays, I did make one mistake responding originally though , I did think the plays were in a baseball thread...

Well obviously logic did not factor in! Why would a guy up a gazillion units start to "cheat" now, in a contest where nothing is gained and nothing is lost!!!!!Damn should have been following you and buc this year! Oh well there's always next year. Remember Jman the most uncommon thing in life is common sense. These threads prove it. Best of luck the rest of the way!!!

Jman, thanks for posting. Always two sides and an obvious explanation.

If I had all the money I've lost betting the wrong side by mouse error I'd be rich!

The ol' accidental delete. :>Grin>

None of the specifics regarding the deleting: "I was working on another thread at the same time....," etc. make a bit of sense. How can you delete a post from one thread if you are in another? So you must have mulitiple RX windows open?:digit: How do you find a deleted thread? I thought deleted posts are deleted, and moved posts are moved?

I think nearly everyone, including myself, would have more respect for you if you had really come clean. I sincerely hope that you do not think that the majority buy your "apology."

Your act of being a big-shot, professional internet poster/toughguy/big bettor:lolBIG: is old. Though entertaining, this subject has run its course. I wish you the best of luck in successfully tracking/not mistakenly deleting bad days for the rest of the MLB season. :toast:

Yeah, who cares if the integrity of the monitored picks and records has been completely shot to hell. Journeyman is a nice guy so we'll kiss his ass and sweep it under the rug like all the other scams that have been done here and let him slide this time.

It's all about trust and obviously the people who let this crap go on unchallenged cannot be trusted. But we all knew that already (at least those who aren't ghosts, shills, or ass kissers).

If this place sucks so bad, then why are you here?

Because someone's gotta lay some truth on you

This wasn't a case of "oops I mis-graded a pick", this was an obvious and blatant attempt to scam a documented record These sites are supposedly built upon the TRUST of the readers that the operators and moderators will conduct themselves in an honorable manner. What this incident has done unfortunately is to TAINT the record of every single poster who posts picks here, because now how will anyone know for sure that records or posts have not been altered in the past? The readers TRUST the moderators to run a clean and honest forum, and a forum where such behavior is IN ANY WAY condoned loses this trust factor and if I were posting my picks here to be documented I would be mad as hell that my hard work has been tainted by such activity. And would you now assume that contests which require a post-up couldn't be scammed by an unscrupulous person? The die has been cast and this disgraceful behavior has effectively been sanctioned by the ownership of this web site.

But if you want to endorse such activity then by all means go ahead... just don't go crying to me when you get scammed because you were warned.

You can stop with the name-calling in our forums, whether you like this place or not.....it won't be allowed......And don't for ONE MINUTE try to make incinuations that the "post up" contests sponsored by the RX are anything but ABOVE BOARD......I have ran probably close to 30-35 contests in my time here, and every play, issue, etc. is documented and in the forums for everyone to see....Do mistakes happen? Yes they do (very rarely, thank goodness) but they do happen, and they are corrected.....But the contests that I have ran here are 100% legite, and I have brought a lot of money here to the posters from our advertisers....And the people that actually participate in the contests are well aware of that....You seem to have grabbed on to a bone here, and trying to "milk it" for all its worth, and if you have that much free time, then have at it.....But dont try and bring my site/ our contests, or our advertisers down with you.....Because its a FLAT OUT LIE..........

Unless im missing part of the story, im under the understanding that Journeymans YTD total including the 1-6 record was included the whole time. The only thing deleted were the picks themselves. If thats the case this has never been an issue to begin with. AS LONG AS THE YTD RECORD IS CORRECT, THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.
